Terms of Service

Effective: July 26, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of DraftView ("the Service"), operated by DraftView ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you have the authority to do that.

1. What DraftView Does

DraftView turns documentation pull requests into a review surface that non-engineers can use. Reviewers read the rendered document, comment, suggest edits, and sign off, and their feedback goes back to the pull request on your Git host. We may add, change, or retire features as the product develops.

2. Accounts and Access

You can sign in through a supported Git host or with a single-use email link. Keep your sign-in method to yourself, and keep review links to the people you meant to invite. Anything done under your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

Organization owners and admins control who joins their organization, what role each member holds, and what those members can see. If you join an organization, its admins can see your review activity within it and can remove your access.

3. Your Content and Your Repositories

Your content stays yours. We claim no ownership of the documentation, code, comments, or edits you bring through the Service. You give us the permission we need to store and display that content in order to run the Service for you, and nothing more.

You are responsible for having the right to connect the repositories you connect and to share what you share. DraftView writes to your repository only when someone asks it to, but you should treat anything posted from your account as your own action. Review what lands in your pull request before you merge it.

4. Plans and Billing

DraftView has a Free tier and paid plans billed per organization. Paid plans include a free trial, a recurring base fee, and usage-based charges for active reviewers beyond the number your plan includes. An active reviewer is a member who submits review feedback, signs off on a review, or pushes a teammate's review to your Git host during a billing month.

Fees are charged in advance for the base plan and in arrears for usage, and they exclude taxes. Cancel whenever you like: paid access runs to the end of the period you already paid for, and your organization then continues on the Free tier rather than being locked out. Payments already made are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise. We may change pricing with reasonable notice before it applies to your next renewal. Current plans are on the pricing page.

5. Acceptable Use

Please do not:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to infringe someone else's rights
  • Try to reach accounts, repositories, or data you were not given access to
  • Probe, overload, or disrupt the Service, or work around its limits and access controls
  • Scrape the Service or resell access to it
  • Upload malware, or content you have no right to share

Good-faith security research is welcome, as described on our Security page.

6. Third-Party Services

DraftView connects to services we do not control, including your Git host. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or their decisions. If one of them changes an API we depend on, parts of DraftView may change with it.

7. Records and Compliance

DraftView keeps a record of who reviewed a document and when, and teams use those records to show that a human reviewed AI-generated content. The record is a tool, not a legal opinion. Deciding whether your process satisfies a given regulation is your call, and you should take your own advice on it. We do not promise that using DraftView makes you compliant with any particular law or standard.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we handle it. If your organization needs a data processing agreement, email us.

9. Suspension and Termination

You can stop using DraftView and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are broken, if an account puts the Service or other customers at risk, or if fees go unpaid. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give you notice and a chance to put things right. Export your data before you close an account, since we delete it after closure.

10. Warranties and Liability

The Service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the maximum extent the law allows, DraftView is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new version. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
