For docs leads and technical writers
Keep docs in Git and still get everyone's review
You chose docs as code for good reasons. The cost is that the people who know the product best will not review a Markdown diff. DraftView puts them on the rendered page, sends their edits back to the PR, and gives you one queue for every doc change, including the ones AI agents open.
The problem
Sound familiar?
SMEs will not open a pull request
So you export a preview, collect comments in three places and copy them back into the PR yourself.
AI doubled the PR count
Agents open doc PRs faster than your team can read them, and it is hard to tell which ones a human actually checked.
No one can see the state of review
Which PRs are waiting on legal? Which did the agent already fix? The answer lives in your head and your inbox.
How it works
Your part, step by step
Connect the GitHub App once
Pick the repos. Open doc PRs are added to the queue straight away, and new ones are added as they open.
Invite reviewers by email
Bring in PMs, SMEs and legal with a role each. They do not need GitHub accounts, and you can bulk-invite a repo's collaborators.
Review moves through clear states
Each PR has a state: in review, changes requested, waiting on the agent, addressed, signed off, ready to merge. When an agent's push touches a region someone commented on, DraftView marks it addressed and asks that reviewer to check.
Merge with a record
Sign-off and CI status gate ready to merge. A person still merges in GitHub. Finished doc reviews commit a Markdown review record next to your docs.
What you get
Built for how you review
Your formats, rendered
Markdown, GFM, MDX components, MyST directives, Markdoc tags and AsciiDoc render as pages and round-trip back to source.
AI PRs flagged on arrival
DraftView marks PRs written by AI agents from author, branch, body and commit signals, whichever agent wrote them.
Slack and email updates
Post queue events to Slack. Reviewers without GitHub get email when their feedback is addressed or a PR is ready.
Doc reviews without a PR
Pin files from main for a two-week review with SMEs (in preview). Finishing opens one PR with the accepted edits and posts the open threads as review comments.
Proof that review happened

What you never have to do
- Export previews to PDF or Google Docs for review
- Copy reviewer feedback back into GitHub
- Give every SME a GitHub seat
- Track review status in a spreadsheet
Know before you choose
- DraftView reviews docs that live in GitHub. It does not host your site or replace your static site generator.
- GitLab is supported for the Edit this page flow today; review queues for GitLab merge requests are planned.
- The Free plan covers 2 active reviewers and 2 repos a month, with no card. Team is $29 a month for 5 active reviewers, then $10 each.
Common questions
- Does DraftView change our repo or build?
- No. It reads PRs through the GitHub App and writes back only as review comments and suggestions, plus the pull request a finished doc review opens.
- Who counts as an active reviewer for billing?
- A member who, in a calendar month, submits a review, edits or comments, records a sign-off, or verifies and pushes a teammate's review. Members who only read never count.
- Can we use it with any AI writing tool?
- Yes. DraftView reviews the pull request, not the tool that wrote it, so it works with any agent or person that opens doc PRs.
- What happens if our trial or plan lapses?
- Your organization drops to the Free plan. The queue, sign-off and review history keep working within Free limits; nothing is switched off.
